It's the Astronomy Online non-Blog, or un-Blog.

Everyone has a blog now and since I am no follower of trends, I decided to merge the blog with the website. And I don't want to neglect the website in favor of posting on the blog.

These are the pages that were on the blog of old:

- Home

- Archive (Index of Pages)

- Me

- Current Trends

- Links

- Soho Live

Links:

The Internet is not all bad, right?:

There is a lot of wonderful material on astronomy available online, that is one reason why I have put together my website - Astronomy Online. However, there are some people out there that seem to think that us astronomers are aware of a "secret" planet and withhold information on UFO's. Take this poll for example:

Silly Poll

This is from About.com. Apparently there are many people that seem to believe that this mysterious 12th planet called Nibiru is approaching Earth.

In the words of Wolfgang Pauli, "that is not even wrong."

So the official word: astronomers are not holding back information and there is no conspiracy. There is no Nibiru and the IAU does not recognize that name.

This is what happens when people believe what they read online. I do not claim to know all the answers, but I do reference my work on Astronomy Online.

For this and many other "bad astronomy" related topics, be sure to visit Bad Astronomy - and excellent resource for all things related to space and astronomy conspiracies.
