Uranus has 27 known moon. Most of them are small,
asteroid like satellites. The image below
demonstrates the location of some of these
asteroid

All of the larger moons of Uranus appear to have
undergone some form of
tidal heating. The
composition of these moons are Pluto like -
containing an ice/rock combination. The images of
these satellite (Ariel, Miranda, Oberon, Titania,
and Umbriel) are below. If the names sound familiar,
that is because the names are female characters in
the variety of plays and sonnets by William
